There is an actual "Mickey Mouse Plant"!
Check out the fruit of this plant below...

Definitely my favorite 'Hidden Mickey'!
Can you find it in or around the park?

(...And check out the Mickey Ears for sale inside Disneyland!
It is art imitating life!? Or life imitating art!?)

Thank you to Ken Roberts for leading me to what will be one of the most coveted plants in my garden! AmericanForests.org has propagated seedlings of Walt Disney's childhood "Dreaming Tree"!

Walt's "Dreaming Tree" is an old Cottonwood at his childhood home in Marceline, Missouri (Populus deltoides, to be exact). There are two places that I've noted Poplars in the park(s). The first is in Fantasyland near the line to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The second is growing alongside the Grand Californian Hotel across from Grizzly River Run in California Adventure. Are either of these trees descendants of Walt's Cottonwood? Not sure, but I'll post it here when I find out! In the meantime, get your own connection to Disney heritage at AmericanForests.org...click here!
